न च कर्ण रणे शक्ता जेतुमन्ये महारथा: । जानीते हि भवान्‌ कर्ण वीर्यवन्तं पराक्रमे,“जनार्दन! आप तो जानते ही हैं कि कर्ण कितना बलवान्‌ तथा पराक्रम प्रकट करनेमें समर्थ है। अतः रणभूमिमें दूसरे महारथी उसे जीत नहीं सकते हैं

na ca karṇa raṇe śaktā jetum anye mahārathāḥ | jānīte hi bhavān karṇa vīryavantaṃ parākrame ||

Sañjaya said: “Nor are the other great chariot-warriors capable of conquering Karṇa in battle. You, O Janārdana, know well how mighty Karṇa is and how able he is to display valor. Therefore, on the battlefield the other maharathas cannot overcome him.”
