निहत्य पृतनामध्ये संशप्तकगणान्‌ बहून्‌ । अर्जुनो जयतां श्रेष्ठो वासुदेवमथाब्रवीत्‌,जब इस प्रकार दिखायी देनेवाला वह भयंकर संग्राम चल ही रहा था, उस समय दूसरी ओर विजयी वीसमे | श्रेष्ठ अर्जुन सेनाके मध्यभागमें बहुत-से संशप्तकोंका संहार करके भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्णसे बोले--

Transliteration

nihatya pṛtanāmadhye saṁśaptakagaṇān bahūn | arjuno jayatāṁ śreṣṭho vāsudevam athābravīt ||

Translation

Sañjaya said: In the midst of the army, after slaying many bands of the Saṁśaptakas, Arjuna—foremost among the victorious—then addressed Vāsudeva (Kṛṣṇa).
