धृष्टद्युम्नस्य भल्लेन क्रुद्धश्चिच्छेद कार्मुकम्‌ । उसका कवच कट गया था और शरीर नाराचोंके प्रहारसे जर्जर कर दिया गया था। उस अवस्थामें उसने कुपित होकर एक भल्लसे धृष्टद्युम्मके धनुषको काट डाला

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca |

dhṛṣṭadyumnasya bhallena kruddhaś ciccheda kārmukam |

Translation

Sañjaya said: Enraged, he severed Dhṛṣṭadyumna’s bow with a sharp bhalla-arrow. The scene underscores the relentless escalation of battlefield skill and wrath—where disabling an opponent’s weapon becomes a decisive, if ruthless, tactic amid the collapsing restraints of war.
