Sañjaya said: In the thick of battle, the king (Duryodhana), with a razor-edged, exceedingly sharp kṣurapra arrow, severed Dhṛṣṭadyumna’s bow—together with the arrow already set upon it—and even cut away his hand-guard.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights a battlefield ethic of tactical restraint and skill: disabling an opponents capacity to fight (by cutting weapons/gear) can be as decisive as killing, reflecting the harsh but rule-aware logic of kshatriya warfare.
Sanjaya narrates that the king, using a very sharp razor-edged arrow, severs something in the combata vivid moment of close, technical archery in the ongoing battle.
