युधिष्ठिरस्तु त्वरितो द्रोणशिष्यो महारथ:
yudhiṣṭhiras tu tvarito droṇaśiṣyo mahārathaḥ
Sañjaya said: Yudhiṣṭhira, acting with urgency, advanced—he, the great chariot-warrior trained by Droṇa.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the tension between ethical responsibility and battlefield necessity: a ruler devoted to dharma must still act decisively when duty demands, relying on disciplined training and rightful resolve rather than hesitation.
Sañjaya describes Yudhiṣṭhira moving swiftly in the ongoing battle, identifying him as a mahāratha and as one trained by Droṇa—setting up his martial capability and immediate action within the war’s unfolding events.
