कर्णवधार्थं धनञ्जयस्य प्रतिज्ञा — Arjuna’s resolve for Karṇa’s defeat

पातयामास तानू् सर्वान् दुष्टहस्तीव हस्तिपान् । तब जैसे दुष्ट हाथी महावतोंको नीचे गिरा देता है, उसी प्रकार भगवान् श्रीकृष्णने अपनी दोनों बाँहें झटककर उन सब लोगोंको युद्धके मुहानेपर नीचे गिरा दिया
Transliteration
pātayāmāsa tānū sarvān duṣṭa-hastīva hastipān |
Translation
Sañjaya said: “He cast them all down—just as a vicious elephant throws its keepers to the ground. In the same way, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, with a forceful shake of both arms, hurled those men down at the very mouth of battle.”
