कर्णेन सैन्यस्थापनं तथा नानायुद्धसमवायः

ध्रुव: सर्वाणि भूतानि विष्णु: पाति जनार्दन: । महाराज! राक्षस, पिशाच और गुह्मक--ये गिरिराज हिमालय तथा गन्धमादन पर्वतकी रक्षा करते हैं और अविनाशी एवं सर्वव्यापी भगवान् जनार्दन समस्त प्राणियोंका पालन करते हैं (परंतु बाहीक देशपर किसी भी देवताका विशेष अनुग्रह नहीं है)
Translation
“All beings are bound to what is ordained; Vishnu—Janārdana—protects the world. O great king, the Rākṣasas, Piśācas, and Guhyakas guard the lordly Himalaya and Mount Gandhamādana; and the imperishable, all-pervading Lord Janārdana sustains every living creature (yet upon the land of Vāhīka no deity bestows any special favor).”
