तस्याहवे पौरुषं पाण्डवस्य ब्रूयां हृष्ट: समितौ क्षत्रियाणाम्
tasyāhave pauruṣaṃ pāṇḍavasya brūyāṃ hṛṣṭaḥ samitau kṣatriyāṇām
Sañjaya said: “In this battle, I shall gladly recount the valor of that Pāṇḍava, displayed in the assembly of warriors.”
संजय उवाच
The verse foregrounds kṣatriya-dharma: in the crucible of battle, a warrior’s pauruṣa (valor and steadfastness) becomes worthy of remembrance and narration, shaping moral reputation through courageous conduct.
Sañjaya signals that he will now recount the heroic prowess of a Pāṇḍava as it manifested in the battlefield encounter among the assembled warriors.
