सुरासुरान् युधि वै यो जयेत तेनाद्य मे पश्य युद्ध सुघोरम् । “आज मैं युद्धमें जिनके समान इस समय किसी दूसरे मनुष्यको नहीं मानता, जो हाथमें धनुष लेकर रणभूमिमें देवताओं और असुरोंको भी परास्त कर सकते हैं, उन्हीं वीर अर्जुनके साथ आज मेरा अत्यन्त घोर युद्ध होगा; उसे तुम देखना
Translation
Sañjaya said: “Today, behold my most dreadful battle. Today I shall fight a fiercely grim war with the hero Arjuna—one whom, at this hour, I deem no other man to equal; one who, bow in hand upon the field, could vanquish even gods and asuras. Watch this combat.”
