Adhyāya 36: Ghora-yuddha-varṇanam
A Clinical Description of the Intensified Engagement
यत्र राजा पाण्डव: सत्यसंधो व्यवस्थितो भीमसेनार्जुनौ च । वासुदेव: सात्यकि: सृञ्जयाश्न यमौ च कस्तान् विषहेन्मदन्य:,“जहाँ सत्यप्रतिज्ञ पाण्डुपुत्र राजा युधिष्ठिर खड़े हैं, जहाँ भीमसेन, अर्जुन, वसुदेवनन्दन श्रीकृष्ण, सात्यकि, सूंजय वीर तथा नकुल और सहदेव डटे हुए हैं, वहाँ मेरे सिवा दूसरा कौन उन वीरोंका वेग सह सकता है?
yatra rājā pāṇḍavaḥ satyasaṃdho vyavasthito bhīmasenārjunau ca | vāsudevaḥ sātyakiḥ sṛñjayāś ca yamau ca kas tān viṣahen madanyaḥ ||
Sañjaya said: “Where the Pāṇḍava king, steadfast in truth, stands firm—where Bhīmasena and Arjuna are stationed, and where Vāsudeva (Kṛṣṇa), Sātyaki, the Sṛñjaya heroes, and the twin brothers (Nakula and Sahadeva) are also arrayed—who other than me could endure the onrush of those warriors?”
