Adhyāya 36: Ghora-yuddha-varṇanam

A Clinical Description of the Intensified Engagement

neha dhruvaṁ kiñcid api pracintayan vidyāṁ loke karmaṇo nityayogāt | sūryodaye ko hi vimuktasaṁśayo bhāvaṁ kurvītādya gurau nipātite |

Sañjaya said: “Even after much reflection, I do not regard anything in this world as truly lasting, for action is ever bound to change and perish. When even the revered teacher Droṇa has been struck down today, who—free from doubt—can hold a firm conviction that he will live until the next sunrise?”
