“When the Lord of the gods recognizes me as a fit vessel for bearing weapons, then—only then—may you deem it right to grant those divine missiles to me, your devoted attendant.”
महेश्वर उवाच
Divine power (especially weapons) should be granted only to a worthy recipient (pātra) who has demonstrated disciplined capability and faithful service; desire alone is not a sufficient qualification.
A speaker, identified as Maheśvara, states a condition for receiving divine weapons: only when the divine lord recognizes the petitioner as qualified in weapon-bearing should the weapons be bestowed, emphasizing tested fitness and devoted attendance.
