Sañjaya said: “You will see today, face to face, warriors who are mighty in valor and fully trained in the use of weapons. Each one of you, with his own troops, has the power to slay the Pāṇḍavas; what then could you not accomplish if you fight in disciplined unity? Since you are heroic and skilled in arms, let each display his own prowess today.”

The verse underscores that individual strength and training become decisive when joined with disciplined unity; it praises martial competence while urging coordinated action and the display of rightful prowess expected of warriors.
Sañjaya reports an exhortation to the Kaurava side: their warriors are brave and weapon-trained, and if they fight together they should be able to overcome the Pāṇḍavas; the moment is framed as a test of each fighter’s valor on the battlefield.
