धृतराष्ट्रस्य मूर्च्छा स्त्रीणां च आर्तनादः

तस्य दुर्वारवीर्यस्य सत्यसंधस्य धीमत: । बह्लोद्रविणमक्षय्यमद्य द्रक्ष्यथ संयुगे,“जिसके पराक्रमको रोकना अत्यन्त कठिन है, उस सत्यप्रतिज्ञ बुद्धिमान्‌ कर्णके अक्षय बाहुबलको आज आपलोग समरांगणमें देखेंगे

Transliteration

tasya durvāravīryasya satyasaṃdhasya dhīmataḥ | bahlodraviṇam akṣayyam adya drakṣyatha saṃyuge ||

Translation

Sañjaya said: “Today, on the field of battle, you shall behold the inexhaustible might and abundant martial resources of that wise Karṇa—whose vow is true and whose valor is exceedingly hard to withstand.”
