Droṇanidhana-anantaraṃ sainya-viṣādaḥ and Karṇa-pravṛttiḥ

After Droṇa’s fall: army despondency and Karṇa’s advance

धघतयाट्र उवाच न व्यथाभ्यधिका काचिद्‌ विद्यते मम संजय । दिष्टमेतत्‌ पुरा मन्‍्ये कथयस्व यथेच्छकम्‌,धृतराष्ट्र बोले--संजय! मुझे इससे अधिक कोई व्यथा नहीं होगी, मैं पहलेसे ही ऐसा मानता हूँ कि यह अवश्यम्भावी दैवका विधान है; अतः तुम इच्छानुसार सारा वृत्तान्त कहो

Dhṛtarāṣṭra said: “Sañjaya, no grief greater than this can befall me. Long have I deemed it an inescapable ordinance of fate, a divine decree. Therefore, tell the whole account as you wish.”
