Sañjaya said: Arjuna’s whole body was shaken and unsteady, like a mountain trembling when the earth quakes. Yet, holding fast to courage and composure, the terrible Arjuna pierced Droṇācārya with feathered arrows and wounded him—showing that even amid shock and fear, steadfast resolve must guide one’s action in battle.

Even when the body and mind are shaken by fear or shock, one should grasp dhairya (steadfast composure) and act according to one’s duty; courage here is not absence of trembling, but mastery over it.
Arjuna is struck so powerfully that he reels like a mountain in an earthquake; nevertheless, he regains composure and wounds Droṇācārya with feathered arrows.
