Sanjaya said: “Thus, in the Śrī Mahābhārata, within the Droṇa Parva—specifically in the Pratijñā Parva—concerning the discourse, the words of Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the seventy-fifth chapter comes to an end.” This closing colophon casts Kṛṣṇa’s counsel as a decisive moral and strategic intervention amid the tightening duties and vows of war.

As a colophon, the verse does not teach a new doctrine directly; it highlights that Śrī Kṛṣṇa’s counsel is the thematic center of this chapter, implying that ethical discernment (dharma) and the weight of vows (pratijñā) guide action even amid war.
Sañjaya signals the formal close of the chapter: the text has completed a unit within Droṇa Parva, in the Pratijñā-focused section, centered on Śrī Kṛṣṇa’s words—marking a transition to the next episode.
