Droṇasya raudra-prayogaḥ
Droṇa’s intensified assault and the Pāṇḍava response
संजय उवाच स एवमभ्यनुज्ञातश्षक्रे सेनापतिं ततः । द्रोणं तव सुतो राजन् विधिदृष्टेन कर्मणा,संजय कहते हैं--राजन्! इस प्रकार आचार्य द्रोणकी अनुमति मिल जानेपर आपके पुत्र दुर्योधनने उन्हें शास्त्रीय विधिके अनुसार सेनापतिके पदपर अभिषिक्त किया
sañjaya uvāca sa evam abhyanujñātaḥ śakre senāpatim tataḥ | droṇaṃ tava suto rājan vidhidṛṣṭena karmaṇā ||
Sanjaya said: “O King, once he had thus obtained the consent of the mighty one, your son then, in accordance with the rites prescribed by the śāstras, installed Droṇa as commander of the army.”
