Droṇasya raudra-prayogaḥ

Droṇa’s intensified assault and the Pāṇḍava response

अपतद्‌ दीप्यमाना च सनिर्घाता सकम्पना

apatad dīpyamānā ca sanirghātā sakampanā

Sañjaya said: It fell—blazing with fiery brilliance—accompanied by a thunderous crash and a trembling of the earth. In the midst of war, such ominous portents intensify fear and confusion, reminding all that violence unleashes forces beyond human control and that adharma-laden conflict invites dreadful signs.
