Droṇa’s intensified assault and the Pāṇḍava response
ततः प्रयाते सहसा भारद्वाजे महारथे
tataḥ prayāte sahasā bhāradvāje mahārathe
Sañjaya said: Then, as Bhāradvāja—the great chariot-warrior—suddenly set out, the course of events on the battlefield shifted with swift urgency, signaling a decisive movement amid the moral strain of war.
संजय उवाच
The line highlights how a single decisive movement by a leading warrior can rapidly alter the battlefield situation, underscoring the tension between martial duty (kṣātra-dharma) and the ethical weight of actions taken in haste during war.
