Nārada said: “And in all the lunar mansions, they offered the prescribed ‘nakṣatra-fees’ as sacrificial gifts; and, like Soma and like Aṅgirā, they worshipped the Lord through many kinds of sacrifices—performing rites with disciplined generosity and reverence.”
नारद उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic worship through disciplined ritual action: performing sacrifices with proper observance and giving dakṣiṇā (generous, rightful gifts). Ethical emphasis falls on reverence, correctness of practice, and generosity as integral to devotion.
Nārada describes exemplary sacrificial conduct: across all nakṣatra-observances, the performers give the appropriate ritual fees and worship through diverse yajñas, being compared to Soma and the sage Aṅgirā as models of Vedic piety.
