क्षत्रियाणामनीकानि प्रद्रुतान्यभिधावताम्‌ । जग्रास तिमिरासाद्य क्षुद्रमत्स्यानिवार्णवे,उस समय धावा करनेवाले क्षत्रियोंकी उन आगे बढ़ती हुई सेनाओंको अभिमन्युने उसी प्रकार कालका ग्रास बना लिया, जैसे महासागरमें तिमि नामक महामत्स्य छोटे-छोटे मत्स्योंको निगल जाता है

Then Abhimanyu swallowed up those advancing Kshatriya battalions that were rushing to the charge, making them the prey of Death—just as in the great ocean the mighty fish called Timi devours the little fishes.
