Educational Q&A

The verse highlights how martial reputation and political legitimacy in the epic are often expressed through the defeat of many regional powers; it implicitly invites reflection on the ethical weight of victory in a war where dharma is contested.

Sanjaya is reporting battlefield outcomes, listing multiple peoples/kingdoms whose kings have been overcome by the addressed warrior, emphasizing the scale of successes within the Drona Parva war sequence.
