Sañjaya said: Ajātaśatru (Yudhiṣṭhira) urged those warriors, saying, “Protect Bhīma!” Hearing this command, those heroes of immeasurable prowess moved toward Bhīmasena’s side. The moment underscores a king’s dharmic duty to safeguard his foremost fighter and not abandon a comrade in peril, even amid the terror of battle.

The verse highlights dharmic leadership in war: a righteous king must actively protect and support his key warriors and comrades, treating their safety as a moral responsibility rather than a mere tactical choice.
Sañjaya reports that Yudhiṣṭhira (Ajātaśatru) commands his warriors to protect Bhīma, and they immediately move toward Bhīmasena to support him in the battle situation.
