भीष्मपातने कर्णविलापः | Karṇa’s Lament upon Seeing Bhīṣma Fallen
पाण्डवा भरतगश्रेष्ठ करिष्यन्ति कुरुक्षयम् । “भरतश्रेष्ठ) आजसे क्रोधमें भरे हुए पाण्डव उसी प्रकार कौरवोंका विनाश करेंगे, जैसे व्याप्र हिरनोंका ।। अद्य गाण्डीवघोषस्य वीर्यज्ञा: सव्यसाचिन:
pāṇḍavā bharatagraṣṭha kariṣyanti kurukṣayam | adya gāṇḍīvaghoṣasya vīryajñāḥ savyasācinaḥ ||
Sañjaya said: “O best of the Bharatas, the Pāṇḍavas will today bring about the destruction of the Kurus. From this day, filled with wrath, they will destroy the Kauravas as a tiger slaughters deer. And those who know the might of the left-handed archer—he whose bow is Gāṇḍīva and whose roar is famed—will witness his power unleashed in anger.”
