शुभ्रमत्र भवान् कृत्वा महापुरुषविग्रहम् । ईजिवांस्त्वं जपैहोमिरुपहारैश्षन मानद,मानद! तूने यहाँ परम पुरुष भगवान् शंकरके उज्ज्वल विग्रहकी स्थापना करके होम, जप और उपहारोंद्वारा उनकी आराधना की थी
śubhram atra bhavān kṛtvā mahāpuruṣa-vigraham | ījivāṁs tvaṁ japaiḥ homaiḥ upahāraiś ca mānada mānada ||
Vyāsa said: “Here you established a radiant image of the Supreme Person, Lord Śaṅkara. O giver of honor, you worshipped him with disciplined recitation, sacrificial offerings, and reverent gifts.”
व्यास उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic devotion: sincere worship is expressed through disciplined practice (japa), sacrificial action (homa), and respectful offerings (upahāra), grounded in honoring the deity with purity and reverence.
Vyāsa recalls that the addressed person had established a radiant icon of Lord Śaṅkara at that place and had performed worship through mantra-recitation, fire-offerings, and gifts.
