The verse highlights how collective morale and disciplined signalling (conches and drums) can unify an army’s intent. Ethically, it underscores that even amid the violence of war, inner resolve and clarity of purpose are crucial—especially when one believes one is acting in defense of dharma.
Sañjaya reports that the Pāṇḍavas, filled with joy and confidence, raise a loud exultant cry. Their clamour blends with the sounds of conches and war-drums, indicating readiness and heightened spirit on the battlefield.
