ततस्तुमुलमाकाशे शरवर्षमजायत । पावकार्चि: परीतं तत्‌ पार्थमेवाभिपुप्लुवे,फिर तो आकाशमें बाणोंकी भयंकर वर्षा होने लगी और सब ओर फैली हुई आगकी लपटें अर्जुनपर ही टूट पड़ीं

Transliteration

tatas tumulam ākāśe śaravarṣam ajāyata | pāvakārciḥ parītaṃ tat pārtham evābhipupluve ||

Translation

Sañjaya said: Then, in the sky, a tumultuous rain of arrows arose. Surrounded by tongues of blazing fire, that onslaught surged forth and fell chiefly upon Pārtha (Arjuna), as though the battle’s fury were converging on him alone.
