मुनिर्यथारण्यगतो भाषसे धर्मसंहितम्‌ । न्यस्तदण्डो यथा पार्थ ब्राह्मण: संशितव्रत:,'पार्थ! वनवासी मुनि अथवा किसी भी प्राणीको दण्ड न देते हुए कठोर व्रतका पालन करनेवाला ब्राह्मण जिस प्रकार धर्मका उपदेश करता है, उसी प्रकार तुम भी धर्मसम्मत बातें कह रहे हो

Transliteration

munir yathāraṇyagato bhāṣase dharmasaṃhitam | nyastadaṇḍo yathā pārtha brāhmaṇaḥ saṃśitavrataḥ ||

Translation

Sanjaya said: “O Partha, the words you speak are in harmony with dharma—like the counsel of a sage who has gone to the forest, or like the instruction of a strict-vowed Brahmin who has laid aside the rod and does not punish any creature. In the same way, your speech too is ethically grounded.”
