Shloka 49

तस्याचार्यस्य वृद्धस्य द्रोहो नित्योपकारिण: । कृत्वे हानार्यरस्माभी राज्यार्थे लुब्धबुद्धिभि:

tasya ācāryasya vṛddhasya droho nityopakāriṇaḥ | kṛtve hānāryair asmābhī rājārthe lubdhabuddhibhiḥ ||

Arjuna said: “We have committed treachery against that aged teacher—one who has always been our benefactor—driven by greedy minds for the sake of kingship. Such conduct is ignoble, and it stains our cause with moral fault even amid war.”
