भरतवंशी नरेश! तुम अपने समस्त भाइयों तथा महामना भूपालोंके साथ जाकर समरभूमिमें कौरवोंका सामना करो। तात! आजके पाँचवें दिन यह सारी पृथ्वी तुम्हारी हो जायगी ।। नित्यं च पुरुषव्याप्र धर्ममेवानुचिन्तय । आनुृशंस्यं तपो दान क्षमां सत्यं च पाण्डव
bharatavaṁśī nareśa! tvaṁ svān sarvān bhrātṝn mahāmanobhiś ca bhūpālaiḥ saha gatvā samare kauravān pratiyudhyasva. tāta! adya pañcame divase sā sarvā pṛthivī tava bhaviṣyati. nityaṁ ca puruṣavyāghra dharmam evānucintaya; ānuśaṁsyaṁ tapo dānaṁ kṣamāṁ satyaṁ ca pāṇḍava.
Vyāsa said: “O king of Bharata’s line! Go forth with all your brothers and with the high-minded rulers at your side, and meet the Kauravas on the field of battle. Dear child, on this very fifth day the whole earth will become yours. And, O tiger among men, keep your mind always on dharma alone—on compassion, austerity, generosity, forgiveness, and truth, O Pāṇḍava.”
व्यास उवाच
Even amid war and the pursuit of sovereignty, the ruler must keep dharma foremost—cultivating compassion, disciplined restraint, generosity, forgiveness, and truth as guiding virtues.
Vyāsa addresses a Bharata-line king among the Pāṇḍavas, urging him to confront the Kauravas with his brothers and allied kings, while simultaneously reminding him to remain anchored in dharma and its key virtues.
