महत्या सेनया युक्तो दुर्योधनमुपागमत्‌ | राक्षसानां विरूपाणां सहस्रै: परिवारित:,वह सहस्रों विकराल रूपवाले राक्षसोंसे घिरकर अपनी विशाल सेनाके साथ दुर्योधनके पास आया

mahatyā senayā yukto duryodhanam upāgamat | rākṣasānāṁ virūpāṇāṁ sahasraiḥ parivāritaḥ ||

Sañjaya said: Accompanied by a vast army, and surrounded by thousands of grotesque, misshapen rākṣasas, he approached Duryodhana. The scene shows how the war draws in ever more fearsome and unruly forces, intensifying the peril and moral darkness of the conflict.
