श्रीवायुदेव उवाच घटोत्कच विजानीहि यत्‌ त्वां वक्ष्यामि पुत्रक प्राप्तो विक्रमकालो5यं तव नान्यस्य कस्यचित्‌,भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्णने कहा--बेटा घटोत्कच! मैं तुमसे जो कुछ कह रहा हूँ, उसे सुनो और समझो। यह तुम्हारे लिये ही पराक्रम दिखानेका अवसर आया है, दूसरे किसीके लिये नहीं

śrīvāyudeva uvāca | ghaṭotkaca vijānīhi yat tvāṁ vakṣyāmi putraka | prāpto vikramakālo ’yaṁ tava nānyasya kasyacit ||

Bhagavān Śrī Kṛṣṇa said: “Ghaṭotkaca, my son, understand well what I am about to tell you. This is the moment appointed for your valor—meant for you alone, and for no one else.”
