नाकुलिस्तस्य विशिखैर्वर्म संनतपर्वभि: । गात्रात्‌ संच्यावयामास तदद्भुतमिवाभवत्‌,तब नकुलपुत्रने झुकी हुई गाँठवाले अनेक बाण मारकर चित्रसेनके शरीरसे उसके कवचको काट गिराया। वह अद्धभुत-सा कार्य हुआ

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca |

nākulis tasya viśikhair varma sannatapārṇabhiḥ |

gātrāt sañcyāvayāmāsa tad adbhutam ivābhavat ||

Translation

Sañjaya said: Nakulī, with many arrows whose feathers were bent, struck him and dislodged the armour from his body. That feat seemed wondrous indeed—martial skill flashing forth amid the unrelenting press of war.
