Chapter 17

अजुन उवाच अयं वै सत्यजिद्‌ राजन्नद्य त्वां रक्षिता युधि | प्रियमाणे च पाज्चाल्ये नाचार्य: काममाप्स्यति,अर्जुन बोले--राजन! ये पांचालराजकुमार सत्यजित्‌ आज युद्धस्थलमें आपकी रक्षा करेंगे। इनके जीते-जी आचार्य अपनी इच्छा पूरी नहीं कर सकेंगे

arjuna uvāca | ayaṃ vai satyajid rājan adya tvāṃ rakṣitā yudhi | priyamāṇe ca pāñcālye nācāryaḥ kāmam āpsyati ||

Arjuna said: “O King, Satyajit, the Pāñcāla prince, will protect you today on the field of battle. So long as the Pāñcāla stands firm and prevails, the Teacher Droṇa will not be able to accomplish his desired aim.”
