Sañjaya said: “Today, in the thick of battle, the warriors will behold my nets of destruction released in their thousands—spreading out like swarms of locusts.”

The verse underscores how warfare, once unleashed, multiplies beyond control—violence spreads like a swarm. Ethically, it highlights the terrifying scale of collective harm and the responsibility borne by those who ‘release’ instruments of destruction.
Sañjaya, narrating the battlefield events, foretells that in the day’s fighting the warriors will witness vast, net-like forces or volleys being unleashed in great numbers, compared to a locust-swarm spreading across the field.
