वासवी-शक्तेः प्रयोगः, घटोत्कच-वधोत्तर-शोकः, व्यासोपदेशश्च

The Vāsavī Spear’s Use, Post-Ghaṭotkaca Grief, and Vyāsa’s Counsel

ततो मायाधरं द्रौणिर्घटोत्कचसुतं दिवि

tato māyādharaṃ drauṇir ghaṭotkacasutaṃ divi

Sañjaya said: Then Droṇa’s son (Aśvatthāman) beheld in the sky the illusion-wielding son of Ghaṭotkaca—showing that the battle had shifted into a contest of supernatural force and counter-force, where prowess was measured not only by arms but by mastery of deceptive powers that could unsettle the moral order (dharma) of combat.
