Sañjaya said: Then your two sons, Durmada and Duṣkarṇa, mounting a single chariot together, began to pierce Bhīmasena with volleys of arrows.

The verse highlights how war amplifies aggression and rivalry: coordinated force is used to overpower a single opponent, illustrating the moral cost of conflict—valor and strategy operate alongside the hardening of compassion.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Durmada and Duṣkarṇa, both Kaurava princes, ride together on one chariot and repeatedly strike Bhīma with arrows, intensifying the battle against the Pāṇḍava hero.
