Sañjaya said: “O scorcher of foes, the deed you have accomplished today—alone—none in battle can match such prowess. In truth, you are one who brings burning distress upon the enemy.”

The verse highlights the ideal of extraordinary martial valor—single-handed effort and effectiveness in battle—while also underscoring the ethical weight of war: true prowess is measured by deeds that decisively affect the enemy, not by mere boasting.
Sañjaya, narrating events to Dhṛtarāṣṭra, praises a warrior addressed as ‘Śatrutāpana’ for having performed unmatched feats in the day’s fighting, emphasizing that no one else could equal such solitary heroism.
