धृष्टद्युम्नस्य द्रोणाभिमुख्यं तथा सात्यकि-कर्ण-समागमः

सहस्राक्षसमं चैव सिद्धचारणमानवा: । भूरिश्रवसमालोक्य युद्धे प्रायगतं हतम्‌

Transliteration

sahasrākṣasamaṃ caiva siddhacāraṇamānavāḥ | bhūriśravasamālokya yuddhe prāyagataṃ hatam ||

Translation

Sañjaya said: Seeing Bhūriśravas—brought in battle to the very brink of death and then slain—Siddhas, Cāraṇas, and men, and even beings like Indra, looked on in astonishment. Thus the fall of a great warrior became a moral spectacle for the worlds, calling all to reflect on the cost of wrath and the frailty of life amid war.
