Sañjaya said: Then, having summoned all his brothers and the other kings from every side, Yudhiṣṭhira quickly learned through his trusted informants what the son of Bhāradvāja (Droṇa) intended to do. With the situation thus understood, he gathered his allies to respond with prudence, so that Droṇa’s vow and stratagem might be met without abandoning dharma or endangering the rightful king.

Educational Q&A

Even amid war, righteous leadership requires timely knowledge, consultation, and measured response. Yudhiṣṭhira’s first move is not rash retaliation but accurate understanding of the opponent’s intent through trustworthy sources, aligning strategy with dharma.

Sañjaya reports that Yudhiṣṭhira quickly discovers Droṇa’s intended course of action through reliable informants and then summons his brothers and allied kings from all directions to coordinate a response.
