Bhīmasena said: “Bearing your command upon my head, I am going now—do not grieve. After meeting those tiger-like men, I shall return and give you a full report.”
भीमसेन उवाच
The verse highlights disciplined obedience and respectful acceptance of a superior’s instruction—symbolized by ‘bearing the command on the head’—combined with ethical reassurance: one should carry out duty without causing needless fear, and should report back truthfully after verifying facts.
Bhīmasena tells his addressee that he will depart immediately in accordance with the given order, urges them not to worry, and promises to meet certain heroic men and then return with a clear report (saṃvida), indicating a mission of contact and intelligence-gathering amid the war context.
