The Slaying of Jayadratha

Sunset Vow and Curse-Condition

sañjaya uvāca | uccakarta śirāṃsy ugro yavanānāṃ bhujān api | śaikyāyāsāni varmāṇi kāṃsthāni ca samantataḥ ||

Sañjaya said: The fierce warrior, wheeling about on every side, hewed off the Yavanas’ heads and arms, and even cut through their armour made of red iron and of bronze. The scene underscores the ruthless momentum of battle, where prowess and weapon-skill overwhelm bodily protection, and violence spreads indiscriminately across the field.
