Śaineya’s Breakthrough and Reunion with Arjuna (शैनेयस्य समागमः)

Dhṛtarāṣṭra said: “And tell me fully as well what Arjuna did with the aim of slaying the king of Sindhu. Speak it all to me, Sañjaya—are you well?”
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical weight of vowed action in war: a warrior’s resolve (here, Arjuna’s aim to slay Jayadratha) must be accounted for and narrated truthfully, while the king’s inquiry also reflects concern for the messenger’s welfare—dharma includes both justice in conflict and humane regard in speech.
Dhṛtarāṣṭra asks Sañjaya to recount, in full detail, Arjuna’s actions undertaken to kill the Sindhu king Jayadratha, and he adds a customary inquiry about Sañjaya’s well-being.
