Sañjaya said: “And those guardians of the Sindhu king—warriors blazing like fire—were filled with joy on the battlefield when they saw your son standing firm. Their delight reflects renewed confidence and loyalty in the midst of peril, as protectors rally around a steadfast leader in war.”

The verse highlights how steadfastness in crisis strengthens collective morale: when a leader stands firm in battle, allies and protectors regain confidence and rally with renewed loyalty and courage.
Sañjaya reports that the fierce defenders assigned to protect the Sindhu king (Jayadratha) become delighted upon seeing Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s son holding his ground in the battlefield, signaling a surge of support and coordination among the Kaurava side.
