Yudhiṣṭhira’s Anxiety and the Dispatch of Bhīma; Attempted Breakthrough into Droṇa’s Formation
व्यसृजन्त शरौघांस्ते पाण्डवं प्रति पार्थिवा: । न चाव्यथत धर्मात्मा वासवि: परवीरहा
vyasṛjanta śaraughāṁs te pāṇḍavaṁ prati pārthivāḥ | na cāvyathata dharmātmā vāsaviḥ paravīrahā ||
Sañjaya said: Those kings loosed torrents of arrows against the Pāṇḍava. Yet the righteous-souled hero—Indra’s son, the slayer of enemy-champions—did not waver or falter, standing firm amid the assault.
संजय उवाच
Even amid overwhelming violence, the dharmic warrior is marked by inner steadiness—courage rooted in duty and self-mastery rather than rage or panic.
A group of kings unleash a heavy barrage of arrows at the Pāṇḍava (Arjuna), but he remains unshaken, described as righteous and as Indra’s son who defeats enemy champions.
