भीष्मशिबिरगमनम् — Duryodhana’s Visit to Bhīṣma’s Camp and the Command Appeal
तान् प्रविष्टांस्तदा दृष्टवा इरावानपि वीर्यवान्
tān praviṣṭāṁs tadā dṛṣṭvā irāvān api vīryavān
Sañjaya said: Seeing them enter at that moment, Irāvān too—mighty in valor—took note of the situation, poised to act amid the unfolding battle.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the kṣatriya ideal of alertness and readiness: upon witnessing a decisive movement in battle, a valorous warrior responds without hesitation, embodying courage and duty amid conflict.
Sañjaya narrates that certain fighters have entered/advanced (into a formation or position). Observing this development, Irāvān—described as powerful in valor—also reacts, indicating his participation in the next action of the battle sequence.
