भीष्म-युधिष्ठिर-संमर्दः
Bhīṣma’s Pressure on Yudhiṣṭhira; Śikhaṇḍī’s Approach; Evening Withdrawal
अथान्येन सुतीक्ष्णेन सर्वावरणभेदिना । शतानीको जयत्सेनं विव्याध हृदये भूशम्,तत्पश्चात् समस्त आवरणोंका भेदन करनेमें समर्थ दूसरे तीक्ष्ण बाणद्वारा शतानीकने जयत्सेनके वक्ष:स्थलमें गहरी चोट पहुँचायी
athānyena sutīkṣṇena sarvāvaraṇabhedinā | śatānīko jayatsenaṁ vivyādha hṛdaye bhṛśam ||
Sañjaya said: Then, with another exceedingly sharp arrow—one capable of piercing through every kind of armor—Śatānīka struck Jayatsena violently in the region of the heart. The scene underscores the grim precision of battle, where martial skill and lethal intent override personal sentiment, and where the ethical weight of war is carried through disciplined action rather than hatred.
