Educational Q&A

Even in a war narrative, the text highlights the ethical and psychological dimension: Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s worry signals how attachment and partiality cloud judgment, and how the consequences of adharma manifest as inner unrest alongside external catastrophe.

This is a concluding colophon stating that the chapter has ended: within the Bhīṣma Parva, in the subsection on Bhīṣma’s fall, the seventy-sixth chapter—focused on Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s concerns—has been completed, as reported by Sañjaya.
