Sañjaya said: When his horses and charioteer had been slain, the great chariot-warrior, mighty-armed Dhṛṣṭadyumna, swiftly leapt down from his own chariot and mounted the massive chariot of Abhimanyu.
संजय उवाच
In the midst of destruction, a warrior committed to duty does not collapse into helplessness; he adapts swiftly and continues the rightful task. The verse highlights steadiness and resourcefulness as aspects of kṣatriya-dharma in war.
Dhṛṣṭadyumna’s chariot becomes disabled because its horses and charioteer are killed. He immediately jumps down and climbs onto Abhimanyu’s large chariot, ensuring he remains mobile and effective in the ongoing battle.
